Precision Health Reports Launches New Product to Evaluate Cardiometabolic Disease Risk

[RALEIGH, NC, March 17] Precision Health Reports, a digital health diagnostics company, launched its new comprehensive and actionable Cardiometabolic Risk Assessment to enable healthcare providers and patients to assess and manage heart attack, stroke, and diabetes risk more efficiently.

“Cardiometabolic disease is complicated to assess and manage. In addition to a patient’s medical history and physical exam, providers have to integrate various biomarkers and multiple national and international guidelines to determine a person’s unique cardiometabolic risk,” said Dr. William Cromwell, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for Precision Health Reports. “Most physicians simply do not have the time or the tools to integrate all these components to produce a comprehensive, actionable report that reflects a person’s cardiometabolic condition. We solve that problem for them by providing a comprehensive report that enables providers to formulate a treatment plan tailored to that patient.”

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 leading cause of death in the U.S. with type 2 diabetes being the 7th leading cause of death. Together, these two devastating diseases make up overall cardiometabolic disease. Catching disease progression early can prevent more than $10,000 per patient per year in direct healthcare costs. This disease costs over $500B in direct healthcare costs annually with that total growing year over year.

“We all know someone who has experienced a debilitating heart attack or stroke or even struggles with daily management of type 2 diabetes,” explains Matthew Martin, CEO of Precision Health Reports. “With increased awareness of the second-order effects of diabetes and cardiovascular disease because of the relationship with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are confident that we can assist millions with understanding their risk and regaining control of their personal health.”

Precision Health Reports integrates personal medical information, physical findings, outcome-proven biomarkers, and evidence-based guidelines to produce comprehensive individual reports that uniquely discriminate a person’s risk for cardiometabolic diseases. Healthcare providers using these risk assessments can tailor individual therapy plans to reduce a person’s risks of diabetes, and cardiovascular events then track the individual’s response to their prescribed treatment plan.
