Matthew Martin
Chief Executive Officer
My background as a leader in a technology business stems from an 11-year growth path at one of the most innovative pharmaceutical services companies in the country, TrialCard. Before joining TrialCard, I served 9 years as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer, which taught me the skills necessary to lead and learn in fast-paced environments. After leaving the physically rigorous environment of the Army to join TrialCard, like many others, my attention to professional growth began to outpace my awareness of my personal health. In doing so, I joined the ranks of the millions of other Americans that are pre-diabetic, hypertensive, overweight by 30-50 pounds, and suffering from undiagnosed metabolic syndrome.
At the beginning of 2018, I decided to take an active role in changing my nutritional behaviors as well as added a strenuous physical activity regimen. These behavior changes changed my life’s course dramatically. I honestly feel like I’m in my twenties again! Learning about and practicing proper nutritional behaviors was the most essential part of feeling health. But, without clear insights into my progress, I was using a variety of cobbled-together ways to try to understand if the adjustments I was making were making positive, neutral, or unfavorable changes in my body.
What was lacking in my self-care toolkit is what Precision Health Reports is all about—clear, proven longitudinal analyses based on facts to see the results of certain behaviors. Bringing the tools of Precision Health Reports to the care providers of the millions of others that are in the similar undiagnosed health distress condition that I was in could not feel more like a life’s purpose. We built these solutions to make a difference.
